The board voted to accept a donation of a new trailer from the Barnes family for use by the West Noble High School marching band. Speaker 4 described the gift as a memorial to the family’s son Dominic, noted the trailer has been delivered but not yet insured or titled, and asked the board for permission to accept and integrate it into the marching-band program. "They've given us permission to do whatever we want with it. We can wrap it, we can paint it or put logos on it," Speaker 4 said.
A motion to accept the gift was moved and seconded and the chair called for the vote; the motion carried (no roll-call tally was given in the transcript).
On personnel and appointments, the board also approved the personnel agenda and moved to appoint a purchasing/purchaser role for the district (McAndrew mentioned in the appointment discussion). Those items were moved, seconded and recorded as carried.
Board members asked logistical questions about trailer size and vehicle availability for pulling the trailer and noted next steps will include titling, insurance and selecting a district vehicle and trained driver for future use.
