In the superintendent's report administrators highlighted several facility improvements and upcoming family events. The track renovation and new fencing are complete; new concrete work and site finishes were noted. The pool heater has been installed and the district will offer late-summer pool classes with Belmont Swim Club. Landscaping near the elementary is nearly finished and new banners were installed on campus light poles.
The superintendent said multipurpose-room repairs and related-arts ceiling work are progressing and that a stadium water leak has been fixed with new shut-off valves. Staff reported that bus inspection is scheduled and that numerous summer camps and learning programs have taken place.
Key dates announced include the Backpack Bash on July 29 (free backpacks and supplies), elementary back-to-school night Aug. 1 (5–7 p.m.), high-school open-house Aug. 5 (2–6 p.m.), middle-school back-to-school night Aug. 6 (4:30–6:30 p.m.), and a student start date of Aug. 7. The superintendent also described a professional-development speaker (Shelley Moore) focused on inclusion for special-needs students, and said the district will pilot the new iLearn interim testing schedule before broader implementation.
Administrators asked board members to complete a packet in advance of the next meeting to prepare for executive session; the meeting closed after miscellaneous items.
