She said an eviction sealing clinic held Jan. 17 helped “over a 100” families by connecting them with pro bono legal services and garnishment relief. Miss Bush also described the Help Me app launched in the fall, which allows students or families to request crisis assistance, basic needs assistance (housing, food) or school‑level support.
Staffing and retention: Human resources reported progress on exit surveys to analyze workplace climate and inform retention strategies; over the last two years 45 employees participated in exit interviews or surveys, and HR said it would compile more detailed turnover percentages for the board.
Facilities and technology: Roger Smith and Dr. Gagelian updated the board on capital projects (Belzer Middle School renovations, auditorium completion, LECC masonry progress) and technology projects (data‑center redundancy and fiber upgrades). Dr. Gagelian said the district plans to use E‑Rate funding for parts of its $1.5 million network work and will request bids for fiber and switches to improve redundancy and capacity.
