Amy Loesch, who introduced the recognition, described the state monitoring process—preconference, site visit and post-conference—and said the center advanced from provisional approval to full approval and then to exemplary status. She credited the center's staff and leadership for the result.
The center's leader accepted the recognition and emphasized a team approach, naming staff members who supported the program and saying the center's philosophy that "every child mattered" guided their work. Board members, including Nicole Florent, offered congratulations and noted a positive change in public perception of the alternative-school setting now serving students at the center.
The board presented a certificate of recognition and thanked the outgoing leader for years of service while noting a passing of responsibilities to incoming staff. No formal action beyond recognition was required.
