Clintondale to open Rainbow early childhood center and shift to Frontline teacher-evaluation system

Clintondale Community Schools will hold a grand opening for its Rainbow early childhood center on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m., the superintendent told the board, highlighting expanded early-childhood capacity and immediate enrollment opportunities.
The superintendent said the center will house offerings from young fives and kindergarten to multiple Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) classrooms and childcare, with the district expecting to double its early-childhood capacity. The district will host an open-house/enrollment day running roughly 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. where families can learn about programs and sign up; organizers plan to distribute free T-shirts and pinwheels while supplies last.
At the same time, the board heard the administration has approved a move to Frontline for teacher evaluation and recordkeeping. “Frontline offers an all-encompassing opportunity to ensure that all of our rubrics are up to date for all of our classifications of employees,” the superintendent said, adding the tool will let administrators tag probationary and tenured teachers and streamline evaluation workflows.
The superintendent said the Frontline adoption and other approvals will appear in the district bill run. The district encouraged families interested in early-childhood enrollment to attend the Rainbow event or contact the administration for more information.
