Meddy also reviewed a device‑refresh plan for Chromebooks and Windows devices. He said the low‑cost bidder for Chromebooks was Travera, with a notable advantage: Travera will supply a 3% spare stock to keep devices available for quick turnover and repairs. Staff recommended approving the vendor list for the devices, but they said one line item failed to meet functional expectations in demos and will be reworked and re‑bid.
The board approved the E‑Rate purchases and the device‑vendor recommendation by voice.
