Superintendent: community unity drive collected 68,000+ items; graduations to move to T‑Mobile Arena

On logistics for next year’s graduations, Dr. Jerome announced both Blue Springs High School and Blue Springs South will hold ceremonies at T‑Mobile Arena on Sunday, May 18, with one ceremony at 1:00 p.m. and another at 5:30 p.m. He said the district is moving the ceremonies due to parking challenges experienced last year at the municipal auditorium and hopes the arena’s location will mitigate that problem.
These announcements were delivered during the superintendent’s report portion of the meeting; no board vote was required. Board members responded with appreciation for community participation and for the administration’s planning.
