The board voted to approve the accounts payable batch after staff answered a question about an intercom project at the high school. "It's about 90% complete," staff member Dwayne said, and clarified that the payables on the agenda covered only the high school and not the event center. The accounts-payable motion passed on roll call with board members recorded as voting yes.
The board also approved the minutes of the June 10, 2024 meeting and designated Doctor Wanda Parisian as the district president and Dwayne as the business manager and authorized signatories for bank and grant transactions, as recommended by staff. "The recommendation would be to approve," Dwayne said during the signatures discussion; the board approved the designation by roll call.
As part of its annual housekeeping, the board appointed the slate of grant purchasing agents for Turtle Mountain High School (reported names included Doctor Shane Martin, Brad Lorock, Jordan Dion, Danielle Sloan and Dwayne) and agreed to add the assistant superintendent/human-resources designee to that list. The slate was approved as presented.
Other procedural business — including a nomination process to appoint a board representative to the Sid Set High School Committee — was completed and the board adjourned.
