Student council representatives told the Be Legendary board they attended an NCSO conference in Florida and used the opportunity to connect with peers from different communities.
"I'm Ali Chrisley. I am a sophomore," one student said, and described plans for a December service project to assemble two backpacks (one for a girl and one for a boy) stocked with essentials such as body wash, shampoo, blankets and socks; counselors would identify recipients. The students also described a winter-wear donation drive: a bin placed in the front office where families can leave coats, gloves and hats for peers in need to take without needing to ask.
The students outlined a spirit week scheduled for next week: Monday will be Christmas pajamas, Tuesday a Christmas-tree theme, Wednesday Christmas-character day and Thursday an ugly-sweater day. They said some students attended SeaWorld and Universal Studios during the conference; for a few it was their first time visiting those parks.
The Chair thanked the students for the verbal report. The student presentation was recorded as informational only in the meeting minutes and required no board action.
