East Rockaway board approves up to $4.5 million bond for energy-efficiency upgrades

The Board of Education of the East Rockaway Union Free School District on the motion approved a bond resolution authorizing the district to spend and to finance energy-efficiency improvements at district buildings and sites in an amount not to exceed $4,500,000.

The presiding officer read the language reporting that, at the district election held May 21, 2024, a majority of qualified voters approved an energy-efficiency proposition authorizing work under Article 9 of the Energy Law and Section 155.20 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education.
