At the end of Thursday’s meeting the Plainview‑Old Bethpage Board of Education approved several routine agenda items, amended the agenda to add a personnel matter and then moved into executive session to discuss that matter.
Trustee Seth moved to amend the agenda to add new business item 11.6 — a resolution concerning disciplinary charges related to an employee — and Tara seconded. The motion passed. The board then approved routine items by motion, including appointments for a Jan. 14 special district, approval of nonlocal field trips, and consultant agreements (Lourdes de Simone and a revised consultant agreement with Mr. Murray).
Following those votes the board voted to enter executive session to discuss a personnel matter and to receive advice from district counsel; Tara moved the motion and Karen seconded. The public meeting was then closed for executive session.
The board did not disclose deliberations from the closed session at the public meeting; any public action required following executive session will be recorded in the minutes according to district policy.
