The Cuyahoga Heights Local Board of Education approved its consent agenda by a 4-0 vote, endorsing personnel actions, a consultant contract and administrative updates.
The superintendent asked the board to accept the resignation of Athletic Director Ryan Kelber, who was approved at Berea, and thanked him for seven years of service. The board also approved reemployment and contract recommendations for staff: Logan Dietrich as an IT support specialist (two‑year limited contract), Scott Detre as sixth‑through‑twelfth‑grade principal (two‑year contract), Pam Mead as food service director (two‑year exempt contract), Wendy Jasanowski as food service manager (two‑year exempt contract), and the hiring of Jo Ellen Bridal as an administrative assistant on a one‑year limited contract contingent on background checks.
The board also approved a one‑day‑per‑week contract with the Northeast Ohio Network for Educational Technology (NEOnet) for a technology audit and consultative services to review cybersecurity, equipment, purchasing and long‑term planning.
In other business the treasurer had earlier asked the board to approve several blanket purchase orders for fiscal 2026, including legal services and utilities; the board approved purchases and minutes earlier in the meeting.
