Board approves routine minutes, personnel and business slates; breaks out Lloyd Harbor principal appointment

Board President led separate voice votes to approve several sets of meeting minutes and moved the business recommendations — donations from the Cultural Arts Committee and the Educational Foundation, budget transfers and claims — as a slate; trustees approved those motions by voice vote after clarifying page numbers for the record.
On personnel, the superintendent presented resignations, appointments and personnel contracts as a slate covering pages 2–13 of the agenda. A trustee asked that the Lloyd Harbor principal appointment (item 2‑1, at the bottom of page 2) be taken out of the slate for separate consideration. The board voted to take the remainder of the personnel slate as presented and then considered item 2‑1 separately; during the separate vote one trustee said, “I'm just gonna abstain,” and the chair noted the abstention.
The board also took CSE approvals and related special education items as a slate; financial reports were provided for informational purposes with Ms. Costa available for questions.
Before adjourning the public meeting, trustees moved and approved a motion to reconvene in executive session "for the purpose of personnel." There was no public vote recorded on personnel within the open meeting after the breakout; the meeting adjourned to executive session.
What happens next: the board will record any formal personnel outcomes in public minutes consistent with policy (and as required by law) after the executive session; the Lloyd Harbor appointment was handled separately as requested by a trustee and recorded with an abstention.
