Board honors district employees for 25 years of service

The East Windsor Regional School District honored employees who reached 25 years of service at its Oct. 14 meeting.
Superintendent and Human Resources leadership introduced the milestone recognition and noted national median tenure comparisons to underscore the achievement. Assistant Superintendent Aaron Savilla led remarks and invited honorees forward for applause and brief tributes.
Music teacher Jill Groys was recognized for a quarter‑century of work at Ethel McKnight Elementary (and a year at Kreps Middle School), with a presenter praising her dedication to students and music instruction: "Jill, your dedication, passion, and hard work have made a lasting impact on our entire school community," a presenter said.
Sherry Firth was honored for long service supporting students with IEPs and for prior roles as lead special‑education teacher and mentor to colleagues. Patty Horowitz was recognized for mentoring new teachers and for inclusive classroom work. Terri (Terry) Sullivan was recognized for long service in science education, advising student council and coaching; district representatives also acknowledged several other 25‑year employees who were not present.
The board recessed briefly for a photo with the honorees and thanked staff for their decades of service.
