The superintendent (S2) highlighted the transportation team’s work in acquiring a uniform, electric fleet and getting charging infrastructure set up: “We will now have, our daily fleet, all all electric,” S2 said, and noted drivers received recent training on the new vehicles. Staff described installation of different charging types to support midday quick charges as well as overnight charging.
The district invited board members and the public to an informal tour after the meeting; staff said the bus would also participate in a parade and might be displayed at a community event. The board emphasized the operational benefit of a standardized fleet (drivers encountering identical bus layouts) and said a small number of diesel buses will be retained for trips where charging is unavailable.
The presentation included an on‑site opportunity to inspect the bus and an invitation to a district kickoff breakfast and other community events scheduled for the start of school.
