Personnel and partnership renewals were presented for board action next week.
Speaker 1 (personnel lead) outlined several personnel items slated for board approval at the next meeting: a resignation, appointments for a custodian and substitute custodian, compensation alignment for department leaders under a targeting agreement, payments for mentor teachers, staff achieving tenure and a professional contract; the board also noted a student summer work program seeking 16‑year‑old applicants.
Separately, Speaker 2 (Administrator) said the district will renew the Robert Morris dual‑enrollment agreement for another year and continue the Allegheny Children's Initiative agreement, which supports the district’s student assistance program and has been in place for at least two years.
Board members asked clarifying questions about usage rates for the student assistance services and whether the agreements were well utilized; the Administrator reported high utilization and said numbers had increased, with more students expected to participate next year.
These personnel and agreement renewals will return as motions at the next meeting; no final action was taken during the session.
