Student representatives update Salisbury Township board on sports, plays and fundraisers

Student representatives from Salisbury High School, Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury Elementary School provided routine school updates at the Oct. 16 board meeting.
Claire Nichols and Michael McWhorter reported high‑school news: the field hockey team beat Southern Lehigh 2–0 and advanced to the league final — the program’s first appearance at that stage in 21 years — and the fall play "Our Town" is scheduled for opening night Nov. 7 (additional performances Nov. 8–10). They also reminded families of AP testing deadlines and registration windows.
Brinley Knights and Alyssa Martucci summarized middle school activities, including recent spirit week themes, scheduled field trips (including an Oct. 25 Blue Mountain trip for eighth graders), and Interact Club volunteer plans.
Giovanni Lopez and Samantha Pashcon described elementary events and fundraising: a health and wellness week, a fire‑safety assembly and a PTO color run fundraiser that the students reported raised "over $15,000." Board members thanked the students and invited them to leave with parting gifts or remain for the rest of the meeting.
