The presenter for the Lakeville Public School District opened the address by saying, "This school year, we're embracing the theme of All 4," and outlined the district’s priorities, enrollment trends and measures of student success.
The presenter said the district has grown over the past decade as new homes and families joined the community and described increasing economic, racial and linguistic diversity. "Today, 16% of our families speak a language other than English, representing more than 80 languages across our schools," the presenter said, noting the district’s multilingual student population.
To support learners, the presenter described a range of academic and social-emotional supports, including English learner programs, special education services and targeted academic interventions. The presenter also stated that 30% of students participate in advanced programming that allows students to explore interests and take on new academic challenges.
On academic outcomes, the presenter cited district metrics: an average GPA of 3.3 and an average ACT score of 23. Using data from the class of 2022, the presenter said 93% of students graduated; 17% entered the workforce immediately after graduation, and 79% pursued postsecondary education.
The presenter reported more than 2,800 staff members work across 19 district facilities and described the district as the largest employer in Lakeville. Operational figures included a transportation partner that covers 10,000 miles daily to transport roughly 9,000 student riders and cafeterias that serve more than 2,900 breakfasts and 8,600 lunches each school day.
The presenter emphasized technology and safety investments: the district has more than 17,000 iPads and devices for students and staff and continues to invest in comprehensive safety and security measures to keep schools welcoming and secure.
The presenter characterized district facilities as community hubs, projecting nearly 200,000 hours of community facility use this year for learning and recreation. Closing the remarks, the presenter highlighted community confidence in the district: a 2025 survey showed 89% of respondents rated the district’s quality of education an A or B and reported improved satisfaction over the last three years.
The address closed with the presenter reiterating the district’s mission to support every student’s academic, social, civic and personal readiness.
