Portage Public Schools staff asked trustees to authorize the superintendent or designee to enter a three‑year lease with Adams Remco for district copy/print equipment, with options to extend up to two additional years.
A staff speaker said the district's current fleet includes about 72 multifunction printers (in year five of service) and about 43 dedicated network printers (in year ten) and that per‑copy "impression" fees make total cost estimates approximate. The proposed lease term would begin July 1; payments were described as coming from the general fund.
Staff told trustees Adams Remco was the lowest bidder on the district RFP and cited the company's responsiveness and established relationship with the district as factors in the recommendation. Trustees asked for historical cost comparisons and a breakdown by building; staff offered to provide additional detail after the meeting.
No final authorization vote was recorded in open session at this meeting; staff will supply cost comparisons and follow up.
