Board approves routine curriculum, personnel, finance and policy items; accepts superintendent resignation

The Caldwell West Caldwell Board of Education approved a series of routine agenda items during its Dec. 16 meeting, carrying each motion by recorded roll-call votes of 5-0.
Motions approved included the minutes, curriculum and technology items (items a'i), personnel actions (certificated and non-certificated staff with spring coaches tabled until a full list is available), finance and facilities items (a'h), and one policy item. Board roll call recorded "yes" from Miss Demartini, Miss Landolfi Jefferson, Miss Mac, Mister Dimbola and Miss Grosso for each vote reported.
Under personnel, the board announced a retirement: mister Timmons will retire from James Caldwell High School effective March 1 after about 30 years of service. The board also accepted the resignation of Dr. Christopher Conklin from the district; the board thanked him for his service.
Board leadership reminded the public that a board reorganization meeting is scheduled for Jan. 6 at James Caldwell High School and that the board expects to accept a referendum resolution at that meeting that will place ballot questions before the county.
All motions were carried by voice/roll call with the board recording unanimous yes votes in the public meeting. No contested votes or dissent were recorded in the transcript.
