New hire: The committee approved a contract for Amanda Tripp to serve as an ML teacher for the remainder of the 2022–23 school year. The motion was made by School member Sarah Truman and seconded by Jen Preble and passed 7–0.
Resignation: The board accepted the resignation of James Mack, a Burns teacher, effective Nov. 11, 2022. The motion to accept the resignation was moved by Sarah Truman, seconded by Beth Johnson and approved 7–0.
Policy second readings: The board approved second readings of policies BCC (nepotism), BIA (new board member orientation), BDE (board standing committees) and BDE‑R (standing committee operating procedures) after a motion by Beth Johnson and a second by Sarah Truman; the board voted 7–0 to adopt the second readings.
Adjournment: The board adjourned at 7:41 p.m. after a motion by Sarah Truman, seconded by Jen Preble.
All votes reported in the meeting were recorded as unanimous (7–0).
