Public commenter says Lower Nazareth awarded $1.25M for Township Line Road; asks adjacent municipalities to consider $200,000 contributions

Laurie Stoff identified herself and told the board that Lower Nazareth Township was awarded $1.25 million by the Commonwealth Financing Authority toward reconstruction of Township Line Road. "We have been notified by the Commonwealth Financing Authority that Lower Nazareth was awarded 1 and a quarter million dollars towards the reconstruction of Township Line Road," Stoff said during public comment.
Stoff said the township had requested $2 million and that the awarded $1.25 million would not cover all elements of the original proposal. She said her engineer recommended that if each participating municipality contributes $200,000 in addition to the state award, the project could be completed. She asked the board to consider coordinating engineer-to-engineer review and to consider the funding commitment in future agenda planning.
Board members responded that an engineer-to-engineer meeting was appropriate and instructed staff to schedule the discussion for an upcoming workshop so the participating municipal engineers could confirm scope and cost allocations. No formal funding commitment was made at the meeting; board members said they would await engineer estimates before deciding.
