Commissioners approve small rezoning request on Grama Lane

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved ZMA-741, a rezoning that changes a 1.26-acre parcel at 4766 Grama Lane from Residential Single Family (RSF) to Rural Residential (RR).
Staff told the board the parcel is designated rural living in the county comprehensive land use plan and that the RR district aligns with surrounding land uses, allowing duplexes and manufactured homes in addition to site-built single-family houses. "The proposed amendment is consistent with the Lincoln County comprehensive land use plan," staff said during the presentation and recommended approval.
Applicant Jerry Towery identified his address at the podium and said he had no additional information to add to staff comments. No public speakers opposed the request. The chair closed the public hearing, and the board approved the rezoning by motion and voice vote.
The planning board recessed and interested parties were invited to follow that board to a separate room for further deliberation on related planning items.
