After the grant and budget discussion, the DDA heard several operational and program reports.
Kristin reported on Main Street Now conference logistics and the previously approved $1,800 attendance budget; she said hotel rooms and conference tickets remained available and noted a possible $500 reimbursement through Oakland County for submitted receipts.
The design committee asked staff to inventory existing banners and recommended a lower-cost vinyl option for seasonal rotation, citing uncertainty about the location and condition of older banner stock. A committee member requested a report on banner inventory at the next meeting.
On the farmers market, Kristin said the vendor survey showed a vendor preference for Sunday mornings and a roughly even split on proposed downtown locations; she flagged porta-potty rental (~$150 each) and insurance as new expense considerations and said vendor applications should be distributed soon.
Members also reviewed suggested films for a proposed 'Cinema on the Street' event (examples included Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story 4 and Star Wars), with members noting possible licensing considerations for Disney titles.
Finally, staff flagged an apparent erroneous charge on the DDA Visa and asked anyone with card access to check and follow up after the meeting. The Chair adjourned the session.
