The Downtown Development Authority approved a set of administrative items on Aug. 20, including receiving the July 2025 financial reports, confirming the board’s mission and vision statements and approving a website budget.
Staff summarized the financials and said the DDA is in a strong financial position. "Based on these, the DDA is in a strong financial position," Staff member said when presenting the July reports. A board member moved to receive and file the July 2025 financial reports; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
The board also reviewed the mission and vision statements as part of the strategic-planning process and agreed to confirm them so the consultant, Giffels Webster, can finalize a draft to present in September. One board member noted the vision statement was lengthy but the board proceeded to approve it.
Separately, the board approved a motion to switch the DDA website to Wix or an equivalent service and authorized up to $100 per month for hosting and features. Proponents said the higher-tier budget would allow needed add-ons and flexibility; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
Staff will return with committee minutes, the strategic-plan draft in September and follow up on website implementation and any associated procurement details.
