The Public Safety Advisory Committee agreed to staff outreach booths at upcoming community events and to finalize its work plan for submission to the city council.
Members proposed two volunteer shifts for Truck & Tractor Day (approximately 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m.) and recommended materials including Code Red sign‑up flyers, CERT information and auto‑theft prevention brochures. Several members volunteered for specific shifts and S5 said she would compile a sign‑up sheet and circulate it to committee members.
S5 added she would note the committee’s recent activity (including the emergency‑management coalition presentation and planned event booths) in the packet materials the committee sends to city council. The committee cleared a voice vote on work‑plan items with the chair calling for approval; members responded with “Aye” and no opposing votes were recorded.
The committee also noted operational details: coordination with parks for a pop‑up canopy, distribution of flyers and continuity of staffing at booths (to avoid a single person covering full event hours). Members agreed to return with a finalized materials list and a volunteer roster at the next meeting.
