Pflugerville library advisory board elects Matt Robertson chair, Holly Hayes vice chair

Matt Robertson was elected chair of the Pflugerville City library advisory board and Holly Hayes was elected vice chair during the board’s meeting. The nominations were approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition.

The vote came after Robertson and other members introduced themselves to the newly constituted board. Jocelyn Franke moved to approve the previous meeting’s minutes and Matt Robertson seconded; the minutes were adopted by a unanimous voice vote. Later in the meeting Jocelyn Franke nominated Robertson for chair and Jess Sargas seconded the nomination. The board approved the nomination by voice vote. Conrad, a parent of five, said the library was a second home for her and she wants to help promote and improve it.

Board members and staff noted that student liaisons from Hendrickson High School were not present at this meeting but typically report on school activities when they attend. The board set its next meeting date and then adjourned.
