The board moved to accept the recommendation and to refer the bids to the public works director and the engineering firm for final review and contract administration. The motion carried with seven yes votes.
The engineering representative noted the start date details and logistics would be finalized in coordination with the contractor and local schedules (including school and city paving work) and that the contract would be administered as a single total contract covering all four miles.
