The Hall County Board of Commissioners approved several routine and operational items in a single meeting, including vehicle procurement, tax paperwork and scheduling adjustments.
The board authorized staff to purchase two Ford Maverick pickup trucks through the state bid program for up to $30,000 each and asked staff to report back in two weeks about funding (budget or ARPA). The motion to authorize the purchases passed 7-0.
On tax matters the board placed final tax rates on file after staff confirmed certifications, and approved a property tax exemption for Mid Plains Center for Behavioral Health Care Services Inc. for a 2017 Dodge Caravan used to transport clients, citing Neb. Rev. Stat. §77-202. Commissioners also set and amended bid-opening times for several public works projects to better coordinate with election‑day scheduling.
The board entered executive session to discuss security, personnel and performance evaluations and later stated that no action was taken in executive session. Afterward the board authorized the executive committee to conduct performance evaluations for three employees (motion passed 7-0).
