Pleasanton council proclaims Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Fair Housing and Arts Month; approves consent calendar

At its April 15 meeting the Pleasanton City Council adopted three proclamations and approved the consent calendar.
The council proclaimed April 2025 as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week; Leonard Dixon and Lillian Rogers, victim advocates with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office victim-witness division, accepted the proclamation and described services the office provides to victims and families. The council also proclaimed April 2025 as Fair Housing Month; David Stark of the Bay East Association of Realtors accepted that proclamation on behalf of Bay East. Finally, the council proclaimed April 2025 as Arts, Culture & Creativity Month; representatives from the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council and the Pleasanton Art League presented student award winners and described youth art programs.
The consent calendar (items 1–11) was approved by a motion from Councilmember Eicher, seconded by Councilmember Testa, and adopted unanimously by roll call.
No further council action was taken on the proclamations beyond adoption and presentation of certificates and photographs. Staff noted the Altamont Landfill Settlement Agreement education-advisory-board seat remains vacant and encouraged interested residents to apply to serve.
