Board hires Alex Sadoff as York County visitor bureau director

The York County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 20 approved the hiring of Alex Sadoff as the county's new visitor bureau director.
Sadoff, who introduced themself to the board and described local roots and a background in secondary education, said they had returned to York to work in the community. "I made the choice to move back to York because I love this community. I want a chance to give back," Sadoff said.
The board discussed a proposed start date the Monday after Labor Day and indicated the position will convert to an hourly classification in the upcoming budget process; the commission moved and approved hiring Sadoff and welcomed her to the role.
No salary vote was taken beyond the personnel motion; commissioners said the wage and 90‑day workup plans will be finalized as part of the budget process.
