Darryl Ness and other panelists gave the Pines Road/Pine Street crossing in Spokane Valley as an example of application fixes yielding new funding: Spokane Valley had initially identified about $7,000,000 and believed the project stalled until application corrections and additional advocacy produced about a $22,000,000 grant that made the grade separation possible.
