Sherae Reed, city attorney for the city of Beaumont, attended and said she came "because I wanna support. I wanna know more about our district, and I just wanna be more involved." Reed characterized her presence as an offer of city support for the district.
Hannah Luttule, director of communications and marketing for Lamar Institute of Technology, said she attended to learn more about dual-credit partnerships and explore ways Lamar Institute could support BEAUMONT ISD this school year. "I'm here at the superintendent's breakfast to hear about what's going on at our dual credit partners here at BISD," Luttule said.
Pastor John R. Adolph said faith-based partners are invested in student success and described work with the superintendent "for the betterment and good of our kids in BEAUMONT ISD." Parents in attendance, including a Regina Howe parent who identified herself as Rachel, described the meeting as "super informative" and said they attended to stay involved in their students' education.
The superintendent encouraged attendees to share accurate district information with families and partners, citing community engagement and volunteer support as vital elements of the district’s approach. The event was primarily informational; no formal actions or votes were recorded.
