Tyrone Wolf, who identified himself as a former Bryan ISD student, read a letter recognizing his eighth-grade science teacher, Miss Reynolds, saying she "had a way of lighting up the classroom with her passion for learning and her unwavering belief in her students." Wolf said he was there to thank the teacher who impacted him.
Robin Aboitez, identifying herself as the mother of a student named Georgie, said one of Georgie’s teachers, Miss Rushman, helped her son—who she described as "on the autistic spectrum"—during fifth and sixth grades. Aboitez said Georgie "grew so much with her help and came out of his shell," and she thanked the teacher for the time and effort she gave him.
