The City of Nacogdoches approved a three-year general services contract with Titan Aviation Fuels to supply wholesale aviation fuel at Mangum Junior Regional Airport, with a not-to-exceed allowance of $725,000 to hedge for inflation and fuel-price swings, Airport Manager Colin Smith said.
"We've been very satisfied with their service," Smith said, noting the airport purchased about $570,000 worth of fuel last year and had budgeted $500,000 for the current year. He told council the proceeds from fuel sales significantly support the airport's operating budget.
Councilmembers also approved a related lease agreement for a replacement fuel-dispensing truck; the airport manager said the existing truck is 22 years old and the replacement will support growing usage tied to a full‑service flight school. Both items passed after motions and a voice vote.
