San Antonio ISD urges families to prioritize attendance during September's Attendance Awareness Month

"Every day of learning is a step toward college, career, and life's many adventures," the representative added.
The speaker called on families to act as partners in attendance, saying parental support makes a difference and advising parents to keep children home when they are sick to rest and recover. Families were asked to "remember to send them back with a note from you or a doctor when they are well." The representative emphasized the district's commitment to helping students stay connected to teachers, coaches and classmates and to "fostering a love of learning."
The district closed the brief announcement by thanking families for their partnership and reminding them that "attendance matters."
