Administration said the item had been tabled earlier and was brought back for approval.
The board also approved a personnel report listing resignations, retirements, vacancies and a series of new hires across district campuses. The board approved several other human resources items by motion, including a conversion of a speech‑language pathology assistant to a speech‑language pathologist, a conversion of a curriculum and instruction specialist to an elementary math curriculum coordinator, position approvals for dean of instruction and assistant principal assignments, and salary adjustments previously discussed in closed session. One reassignment (librarian at Lamar Elementary) was deferred to a future meeting.
