Ridgefield foundation donates $18,000 to family resource center

Family Resource Center staff thanked the foundation during the board meeting, saying the center relies on community donations and partnerships to provide services to families. Superintendent Dr. Rodriguez acknowledged the foundation’s ongoing support and called the relationship “critical” to the district’s ability to assist families.
The presentation included a planned photo and remarks that the board and foundation hope to continue growing fundraising participation in coming years. No formal board action was required for the donation; the announcement was part of the superintendent’s report.
The board later moved into other agenda items, including a separate presentation from Sunset Ridge Intermediate School and the superintendent’s financial update.
