Board approves FFA students' annual Canadian fishing trip

Members of the Mount Horeb Area School District board voted to approve a student trip to a lake in northwestern Ontario. Board members moved and seconded the request and approved it by voice vote. A board member acknowledged the FFA teacher and advisor Pam Nell, who was in the audience, and thanked students and chaperones for their preparation.
The trip was presented as a student-run, experiential activity involving camping, fishing and outdoor skills. No additional funding request for the trip was made at the meeting. The board did not attach conditions to the approval at the time of the vote.
