Mr. Feasel (middle-school administration) and Mr. Berghammer described coordination with law enforcement, the county and the state patrol and said they debrief with partners after an incident.
One board member urged following protocols and collecting facts before communicating to the wider community; another asked the district to consider reinstating periodic multiagency debriefs with Spooner PD and Washburn County for ongoing coordination. District staff said privacy laws (FERPA and applicable health privacy rules) limit what can be shared about individual students and that the district focuses on root-cause analysis, referrals and connecting families with local mental-health resources.
