A board member said the district must make the time “used appropriately and valuable,” and urged administration to report back on how PLC time is being used.
Administrators told the board a third-party parent survey and a staff survey will be distributed the week after Thanksgiving and remain open for roughly three weeks to gather community and staff input on district priorities and implementation details. The budget committee also flagged an upcoming operational referendum planning process linked to long-term district budgeting; administrators were asked to begin estimating numbers to bring to the December meeting and finalize for January.
The motion to adopt the calendar was made, seconded, and approved by voice vote; the meeting record shows a 7–0 approval.
The calendar includes scheduled staff development days (Feb. 14 and Apr. 21). Board members and administration said they will monitor the use of PLC time to ensure it remains productive and to minimize burdens on families who rely on after-school programming.
