At the high school, staff held a chalk‑talk screening for juniors and will begin ACT support for identified students next week. On the curriculum and technology side, staff reported completion of five of 11 scheduled trainings and a target to certify approximately 102 staff members by February 2025; the target group includes 4K–3 teachers, grades 4–6 ELA teachers, special education, multilingual staff, school psychologists and instructional coaches. Staff said trainings are virtual and grouped by grade level with reading interventionists or instructional coaches present to facilitate discussions. Separate I‑Ready mathematics professional development began in August with ongoing support described as positive; staff will collect feedback from teachers and students as the pilot continues.
