An administrator introduced Wendy Fantha to the board as the new coordinator of fiscal services. The introducer said Fantha has years of experience working in large treasurer's offices, has been a financial specialist, and has served in assistant and associate treasurer roles in prior districts; the introducer noted Fantha's involvement with building projects and said she will provide training and support in the district's fiscal office.
Trustees and staff welcomed Fantha; the meeting record contains expressions of congratulations and thanks.
In the communications report, the board recorded community donations: the North Ridgeville Alliance Club contributed $200 to support the high school band’s participation in a march/memorial-day parade; a band booster group donated 40 metallic navy palms to the marching band; community groups and the local Giant Eagle store donated backpacks filled with school supplies and reusable large bags for distribution to North Ridgeville City Schools families at the back-to-school kickoff; staff luncheons were also provided by community boosters.
The introductions and donations were presented as informational items; no board action was required.
