At its meeting the Clare County Board of Commissioners adopted three special-tribute resolutions honoring long-serving county staff and approved an appointment to the Soldiers Relief Fund.
Chair read a resolution recognizing William "Bill" Zaskrow for more than 12 years of service on the Clare County Soldiers Relief Fund Committee and cited his role approving emergency grants and burial assistance for veterans. The board moved to adopt Resolution 24-20 and then recorded affirmative roll-call responses.
The board next adopted Resolution 24-21 honoring Donna Smith for more than 20 years of service as a corrections officer in Clare County. The resolution credited Smith with two decades of continuous service in custody and facility roles; the motion to adopt was seconded and roll-call votes were recorded.
The board also adopted Resolution 24-22 honoring Kim Davis for more than 38 years of service in several county roles including dispatcher and deputy administrative assistant; the resolution and adoption were read into the record and affirmed by roll call.
