At a meeting of the Platteville School District board, members praised the districts music staff as concert season begins and celebrated a high schools recent designation by Solution Tree as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC).
Board member (S2) opened the recognitions, noting the timing of the performances: "It is concert season. It is choir program music program season," and added that district ensembles "have been putting on some very high-quality shows." Another board member (S3) added praise, saying the district is "very, very lucky to have such an outstanding staff." These remarks acknowledged classroom and extracurricular work on recent performances.
Chair (S1) then announced a separate honor for one of the districts high schools: "My newest public school was recently recognized by Solution Tree as a model PLC at work," the chair said, praising administrators, teachers and specifically "Mr. Gregory" for contributions that supported the recognition. The chair said the designation is notable at the state level, saying "very few high schools in the state of Wisconsin have achieved this."
Board comments focused on recognition and appreciation; the meeting moved on after the remarks. The board concluded the recognition portion with brief closing words and "Good evening."
