The council agreed staff could use available project or council funds to cover the small soft-opening expenses and then reconcile the appropriation at the next budget adjustment.
Council also noted a larger $500,000 gun-range project budget exists but specific line-item approvals for that larger amount are still pending. Staff said the $9,100 parking-base quote would come from the gun-range budget and that the soft-opening costs could be reimbursed to the approving staff member later if necessary.
The council asked staff to follow normal procurement and budget-adjustment procedures for any expenditures beyond staff limits.
