CIC reviews Vine Street Corridor master-plan options and Greenlee property transfer

The presenter said the master-plan work will examine the Heritage Hill District and address parking, land use, zoning and community engagement. “Our last plan was from 1998,” the presenter said, describing the need to update the village guidance.
Separately, the president summarized the Greenlee property’s path to CIC ownership: the village had placed liens, pursued foreclosure and conducted sheriff’s-sale rounds with no bidders. Council determined it would transfer the parcel to the CIC for disposition under CIC processes; the CIC would not owe the village upon transfer but would be responsible for any tax liabilities thereafter. The president said the CIC would follow its normal vetting processes for disposition after transfer.
The board subsequently moved into an executive session to discuss the sale of property (motion recorded as made by Amy O'Malley and seconded by Peggy Brickwig), and the roll-call vote to enter executive session carried as recorded.
The CIC scheduled its next regular meeting for June 24.
