District outlines cybersecurity plan, single sign‑on rollout and Remind replacement review

Technology staff also said the district has largely completed a migration to a single sign‑on portal (MiniOrange) for critical district applications. The portal enforces multifactor authentication for access to sensitive systems such as the student information system and state accounting and payroll software.
Finally, staff flagged a pending change in the district's mass‑notification platform: Remind, the district's current communications tool, was purchased by ParentSquare, which has indicated it will phase out the Remind service; the district will evaluate ParentSquare and other alternatives and plan a transition to minimize disruption to families.
No formal action was required; trustees thanked staff and asked for follow‑up about timelines and communications for families.
