At the Saint Bernard Community Improvement Corporation meeting the Treasurer reported the CIC's cash position and the board confirmed the recent sale of a side lot.
"The CIC has $134,694.86 in the Fifth Third account and $5,328.87 in the First State account," the Treasurer reported during the treasurer's report. Board members discussed whether to close the First State account and combine funds; the President said the board would pursue consolidation and noted the practical question of wiring funds versus an in-person trip to Adams County if needed.
The president told the board the CIC sold 306 Bank Avenue, a side lot, for $5,000. The president said the parcel was not buildable and will be consolidated with a neighboring property owned by a village resident; the transaction should reduce maintenance costs for the CIC.
The president also reviewed a previously adopted staggered-term process for board seats intended to avoid mass turnover in the future. There was some confusion in the discussion about whether terms are one- or two-year terms; the transcript contains conflicting references but the president indicated the cycle would resume with advertised openings and the board will address elections at the January meeting.
Board leadership also noted staff will work on updating signature cards at the banks to reflect a treasurer transition. No budget amendments or new grants were approved at the meeting.
