Superintendent previews 2024–25 priorities; board approves several new hires

The board reviewed and approved a group of personnel recommendations under the relevant dockets. The superintendent introduced each recommended candidate and summarized qualifications prior to the board's vote. Appointments announced and recommended included Alexandra Genovese for an elementary teaching position; Angelique Rodriguez Kaminski for a fourth-grade position; Ronak Bridal (recommended as a social worker); Jennifer DiGregorio for a secondary-school nursing position (virtual); and multiple other support and instructional hires including school psychologists, counselors, and teachers across grade levels. The board moved the dockets containing these personnel items and approved them by voice vote.
The superintendent invited families and community members to attend the district’s community event and to engage in upcoming opportunities; the district encouraged interested applicants to contact the district regarding open classroom aide and bus matron positions.
What happens next: Newly approved hires will be added to the district staffing roster and the district will continue outreach for remaining open positions; the district reiterated the next board meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17.
